Invitations to the Vice-Chancellor's Speaker Series program of talks, often with very well-known speakers
Invitations to public lectures hosted by the University throughout the year, often given by experts in their field
Friends members meet regularly throughout the year to enjoy a programme of sociable events
University library - A reduced rate for being a member - from £60 to £40 of the normal annual cost
University bookshop - A discount of 20% for all items not already discounted.
Alina orchestra performances - 10% reduction in the cost of each performance
Most months, a very enjoyable lunch is held for members and their guests
Access to Tanlaw Mill refectory and bar
Connection to a wide range of student societies
University Fitness Centre courses such as pilates, yoga, etc. can be signed up for when held (a fee may be payable).
The Friends have several connections with local groups and members receive notifications of their events during the year.
The university welcomes Friends members to give talks to students giving the students the benefit of their expertise and experience
The Friends have an active and enthusiastic Volunteer Group you can join if you so wish. Members of the group always find their experiences rewarding.
